Ascension Symptoms Explained: Emotional, Mental & Physical Signs of a Soul Shift

Published on 18 May 2026 at 12:10

Explore the deeper meaning behind ascension symptoms. Understand emotional waves, body changes, sensitivity, and spiritual awakening through the Soul Shift process.

What Is an Emotio‑Spiritual Shift?

As we move from one version of ourselves into another, various phenomena, symptoms, and challenges can arise. These can feel frightening if you don’t have a context for them. A context can create a vessel into which you can feel whatever these challenges stir in you. A context holds space for everything that emerges during your process.

The Four ShiftProcesses of Soul Healing

We distinguish four essential ShiftProcesses on the path of Soul healing:

  1. from your Strategic Self to your AuthenticSelf

  2. from your 3D Self/Matrix Self to SoulSelf

  3. from your Authentic SoulSelf to your NonSelf

  4. from your SoulSelf/NonSelf to your DivineSelf

Why Symptoms Appear During a Soul Shift

Symptoms that appear on the healing path can arise because you are (not yet) fully feeling something that wants to be felt in order to heal and be digested. In this case, the symptoms are expressions of resistance — the protective/defense mechanisms that have so far ensured that you didn’t have to feel everything that actually lives inside you. If you wish, you can begin to ask yourself and negotiate inwardly whether you still need these mechanisms, or whether it might be time to open to EVERYTHING that lives within you.

Symptoms can also arise because a previously tight protective knot is loosening, opening, and releasing the fear‑based and will‑compressed energy that held it together — allowing what was buried and unfelt beneath it to surface.

Symptoms may appear when you move from your earthly (Natural) Self deeper into your spiritual Self, because some aspects of your Self may fear letting go of the familiar and stepping into something entirely new, unnamed, and mentally ungraspable. When these fears remain unfelt, they can create resistance that unconsciously keeps us attached to old mechanisms, patterns, and relationships that no longer nourish or serve us.

Symptoms can also be a direct expression of your SoulBodies — and therefore your physical body — changing, becoming lighter, wider, more permeable, vibrating at a new frequency, evolving both cellularly and energetically. Again and again, there are phases of destabilization, the collapse of old structures, renewal, and growth; naturally, this brings physical and subtle tremors.

In my understanding every symptom is emotion first, energy second and then eventually physical third. That´s why I always recommend consulting a doctor for any symptom that worries you, to rule out medical causes.
But very often doctors (fortunately) find nothing physically “wrong.” What if, in these cases, something is actually going right? What if the symptoms are the birth contractions of your SoulHealingProcess — contractions arising because you are birthing yourself from your current version into the next deeper, wider, more complete version of your Self?

Below we have summarized some typical symptoms — perhaps you recognize yourself in them.

If you want clarity around your own experience, you’re invited to connect and schedule a 1:1 session whenever it feels right.

Typical Ascension Symptoms

Close to madness

Are wild emotions being stirred up? Do you lose control? Do you cry or suddenly become angry without knowing why? Are you confronted with your shadows and unhealthy patterns more intensely than ever — right in your face? Do you question everything old? Does your world feel upside down? Do you swing between despair, fear, pain, anger, and hopelessness — only to feel love and peace again once you’ve “felt through” it? Are emotions becoming deeper and more naked?

This is a good sign that there is a strong HeartCommitment in you to truly move and heal your themes. When deeper layers of the SoulSelf open, old emotional structures can dissolve quickly, and the system releases what has been held for years or decades. The intensity is not a failure — it is movement.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, physical)

Emotional overwhelm can also arise when the nervous system is dysregulated — for example through chronic stress, lack of rest, or accumulated tension in the body. When the system is overloaded, emotions can feel sharper, more sudden, or harder to contain.

It may also help to consider whether you are:

  • sleep‑deprived

  • under‑nourished (low blood sugar, dehydration)

  • overstimulated (noise, screens, social intensity)

  • carrying unresolved stress in the body

  • mineral or vitamin deficiencies

  • chronic or low‑grade infections that quietly drain the system

These factors don’t negate the spiritual process — they simply show that the body and nervous system may need more support while the deeper layers shift.

Endless exhaustion and overwhelm

Do you feel deathly tired, deeply exhausted, burnt out, and overwhelmed, even if your outer circumstances weren’t that stressful?

This can be a sign of increased permeability: your previous defense structures are softening; your SoulBoundaries let more of the world “in.” You feel subtle, energetic, emotional, will‑based, and mental influences more strongly and directly — even if you’re not yet fully aware of it. You now need to learn to be gentle with yourself, take rest, and find environments, activities, or music that bring you “home” inside.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, physical)

Exhaustion can also arise when the nervous system is overstimulated or dysregulated. During intense inner shifts, your system processes more emotional material than usual, which can create a kind of “inner overload.” Even if nothing dramatic is happening externally, your body may be working extremely hard internally — integrating, releasing, reorganizing.

Fatigue can also be a psychosomatic response to long‑held tension finally softening. When protective patterns loosen, the body often collapses into a deeper layer of tiredness that was previously held back by adrenaline, willpower, or survival strategies.

On a physical level, periods of deep transformation can increase your body’s demand for minerals, vitamins, and electrolytes, and deficiencies in these areas can also contribute to fatigue. It may be helpful to have your blood levels checked by a healthcare professional to see whether your body could use additional nourishment. Supporting your physical system can make the entire ShiftProcess more stable and gentle.

Long‑lasting exhaustion can also appear when the body is quietly dealing with a chronic or low‑grade infection. These can place a continuous load on the immune system, which in turn can create deep fatigue, brain fog, or a sense of being “worn down” from the inside.

If exhaustion persists or feels disproportionate, it can be helpful to check in with a healthcare professional to rule out underlying physical stressors. This doesn’t contradict the spiritual process — it simply ensures that your body has the strength it needs to accompany your inner transformation.

Disorientation, identity dissolution, memory issues

Disoriented in time and space? Forgetting where you are or what you were doing? Getting lost in familiar places? Forgetting names and dates? Struggling with mind‑heavy tasks? Difficulty recalling the past, being present only in the NOW? Not knowing who the “you” is that you thought you were yesterday? Not recognizing yourself in the mirror? Becoming emotionally deeper, clearer, more present?

These can arise from the loss of mental boxes and compartments. You may be moving toward a place of being where you live more emotionally and in direct experience with life. The era of “primarily mental” or “my‑will‑be‑done” is ending; this can trigger strong fear or panic because it feels like you are disappearing. But only the mental snapshot‑version of you dissolves — your True Self gains more space.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, physical)

Disorientation and memory issues can also appear when the nervous system is overwhelmed. When the system is under prolonged stress — emotional, energetic, or environmental — the brain may temporarily deprioritize memory, focus, and linear thinking. This is a natural response to overload, not a sign of failure.

Psychosomatically, identity confusion can arise when old roles, coping strategies, or survival patterns soften. The mind may feel “unmoored” as it lets go of familiar internal structures.

On a physical level, disorientation and memory lapses can also be influenced by:

  • fatigue or sleep disruption

  • blood sugar fluctuations

  • dehydration

  • mineral or vitamin deficiencies

  • chronic or low‑grade infections that quietly drain the system

  • age‑related neurological changes, which can affect memory, orientation, and cognitive clarity

If these sensations continue over time or interfere with daily functioning, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional who can help rule out underlying neurological or physical causes.

Supporting the body and nervous system can make the inner shift feel more grounded and less frightening.

A Heart Dialogue session can support you in navigating these layers with more depth and clarity. It can also be profoundly relieving to feel truly felt and seen in what you’re experiencing.

Lethargy, lack of drive, feeling "depressed"

You could lie on the couch forever? Why get up? Doing feels meaningless? You fear depression because others tell you you’ve lost your drive?

This can indicate auragetic fear or annihilation fear — where BEING becomes primary and DOING becomes less relevant. Because we are conditioned to define ourselves through achievement, this phase can feel like meaninglessness. Explore the inner voices that judge you for no longer fitting into the world of DOING. What do they fear?

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, physical)

Lethargy and loss of drive can also arise when the nervous system is exhausted. After long periods of stress, emotional strain, or inner work, the system may shift into a “shutdown” mode — a protective response that looks like apathy, heaviness, or lack of motivation. This is not a failure; it is the body asking for deep rest.

Psychosomatically, these states can appear when old coping strategies collapse. If your identity was built around being strong, capable, productive, or helpful, the softening of these roles can feel like a temporary loss of direction or meaning.

On a physical level, lethargy and depression‑like symptoms can also be influenced by:

  • sleep deprivation or irregular sleep cycles

  • blood sugar instability

  • low iron, B‑vitamins, or other nutrient deficiencies

  • thyroid or hormonal fluctuations

  • chronic or low‑grade infections that quietly drain energy

  • age‑related neurological changes, which can affect mood, drive, and cognitive clarity

Energy Healing work may help here.

Old Bridges Breaking

Do you question friendships and relationships because you feel misunderstood or unnourished? Do you consider distancing yourself from family because the patterns there feel unbearable? Do you find it hard to tolerate your job? Does society feel overwhelming or absurd? Do you feel unable to keep doing things that once felt “normal”? Do you want to step out of all power games, emotional entanglements, and destructive patterns?

This often happens when you become more aligned with your True Self. As you shift into deeper layers of your SoulSelf, anything that was built on strategy, survival, or adaptation begins to feel too tight, too loud, or too false. The more you become YOU, the less time you will spend with people who prefer a strategic‑functional version of you over your real, living, feeling, present you.

This is not rejection — it is resonance. Your system naturally moves away from what no longer matches your frequency.

What else could be going on (psychological, nervous system, life‑phase)

Changes in relationships can also arise when:

  • your nervous system is overstimulated or depleted, making social interactions feel heavier than usual

  • you’re recovering from burnout, which naturally reduces your capacity for emotional labor
  • you’re healing from past trauma, which can make certain relational patterns suddenly feel intolerable

A Heart Dialogue session can support you in navigating these layers with more depth and clarity. It can also be profoundly relieving to feel truly felt and seen in what you’re experiencing.

Hunger for Authenticity

You’re irritated by superficial conversations? By drama, distractions, and mental loops? You see how much of the world is built on illusion, strategy, control, and hiding — and it devastates you. You feel the loneliness and disorientation of others more deeply. You long for authenticity, heart‑touch, inner intimacy, meaning, depth, and vulnerable closeness.

This is something truly good in you. As you shift deeper into your SoulSelf, your system becomes less tolerant of anything that feels performative, manipulative, or disconnected from truth. Your heart begins to crave what is real — not as a preference, but as a necessity. This hunger is a sign that your inner landscape is becoming more honest, more open, and more aligned with your essence.

What else could be going on (psychological, nervous system, life‑phase)

A growing intolerance for superficiality can also arise when:

  • your nervous system becomes more sensitive, making chaotic or emotionally noisy environments feel overwhelming

  • you’re healing from trauma, which often sharpens your ability to detect inauthenticity or emotional incongruence

  • you’re recovering from burnout, which naturally reduces your capacity for small talk, social masks, or emotional labor

A Heart Dialogue session can support you in navigating these layers with more depth and clarity. It can also be profoundly relieving to feel truly felt and seen in what you’re experiencing.

Desire for retreat

Do you want to be alone more often? Do you feel yourself turning into a lone wolf? Do you crave long stretches of silence, solitude, or time in nature? Do you feel overwhelmed by social noise, expectations, or emotional demands? Do you sense that your inner world is becoming more important than the outer one?

This is often a sign that your system is shifting into deeper layers of your SoulSelf. As your inner landscape becomes more alive, subtle, and sensitive, the outer world can feel too loud, too fast, or too fragmented. Retreat becomes a way of listening — not escaping. Your being is asking for space to integrate, reorganize, and feel itself without interruption.

Solitude can be a sacred part of the ShiftProcess. It allows your system to recalibrate, your emotions to settle, and your intuition to become clearer.

What else could be going on (psychological, nervous system, life‑phase)

A strong desire for retreat can also arise when:

  • your nervous system is overstimulated, making social environments feel draining rather than nourishing

  • you’re recovering from burnout, which naturally reduces your capacity for interaction

  • you’re healing from trauma, making your system more selective about where it feels safe

  • you’re emotionally integrating something big, and your system needs quiet to process it
  • you’re shifting your boundaries, which can temporarily make you withdraw to understand what feels right for you

A Heart Dialogue session can support you in navigating these layers with more depth and clarity. It can also be profoundly relieving to feel truly felt and seen in what you’re experiencing.

Unspecified body pain

Do you experience aches, tension, pressure, or discomfort in your muscles, joints, or connective tissue — without a clear physical cause? Does your body feel heavier, tighter, or strangely “under construction”? Do sensations move around, appear suddenly, or intensify during emotional or spiritual shifts?

This may relate to your physical body adjusting to your healing subtle SoulBodies — becoming lighter, purer, reorganizing cellularly, releasing energy blockages, shifting DNA. As deeper layers of your system open, old energetic blockages may loosen, emotional material may surface, and your body may reorganize itself to match a new inner frequency. Pain can arise when dense or contracted areas begin to soften, release, or rewire. It can also appear when your system is integrating new levels of sensitivity, presence, or emotional depth.

It can also indicate resistance to the next step, manifesting as “energy knots” in your prana/qi flow.

In many SoulShift phases, the body becomes more porous, more alive, and more responsive — which can temporarily feel like discomfort or instability.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, physical)

Unspecified body pain can also arise when:

  • your nervous system is overloaded, causing muscles to tighten or hold protective tension

  • you’re carrying emotional stress in the body, which often shows up as knots, pressure, or stiffness

  • you’re recovering from chronic stress or burnout, which can make the body feel sore or inflamed

  • your posture or breathing patterns change during emotional processing

  • you’re sleeping differently, which can affect muscles and joints

  • you’re dealing with chronic or low‑grade infections, which can create diffuse body aches

  • you’re experiencing hormonal shifts, which can influence pain sensitivity

  • you’re going through age‑related changes, which can affect joints, connective tissue, and recovery time

  • Body pain can also be caused by ordinary physical conditions such as inflammation, injury, autoimmune processes, or other medical issues.

If pain is persistent, worsening, or interfering with daily life, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional who can help rule out underlying causes. This doesn’t contradict the spiritual process — it simply ensures that your body has the support it needs while your inner world shifts.

Supporting your body — through rest, hydration, gentle movement, warmth, and nourishment — can make the entire ShiftProcess more stable and less overwhelming.

Sleep Disturbances

Do you lie awake for long periods? Do you feel like the day is still “digesting” through you at night? Do you wake up between 2–4am, or find yourself suddenly wide awake at 6am with no chance of falling back asleep? Do you feel energetically charged at night, restless, or unable to settle into your body?

Sleep disturbances are extremely common during a SoulShift.

This can indicate porous ego boundaries, allowing the world to enter deeply. It can also indicate unfelt emotions or resistance. Sleep issues are common before/during/after MentalBody or WillBody awakening processes. Almost every awakening process includes sleep disturbances.

As your system becomes more permeable, your MentalBody and WillBody may be reorganizing, releasing, or integrating deeper layers of emotional and energetic material. Nighttime is often when the protective structures of the day soften, allowing what was held back to rise to the surface. This can create:

  • heightened sensitivity

  • energetic surges

  • emotional processing

  • inner restlessness

  • difficulty “landing” in the body

Sleep disruption is not a sign of failure — it is often a sign of movement.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, physical)

Sleep disturbances can also arise when:

  • your nervous system is overstimulated, making it hard to down‑regulate at night

  • you’re carrying unresolved stress, which the body tries to process once you’re still

  • your circadian rhythm is disrupted by screens, irregular routines, or emotional overload

  • you’re recovering from burnout, which often causes fragmented or shallow sleep

  • you’re experiencing hormonal shifts, which can affect sleep cycles

  • you’re dealing with chronic or low‑grade infections, which can cause night waking or restlessness

  • Sleep issues can also be caused by ordinary physical conditions, such as pain, inflammation, respiratory issues, or other medical factors.

If sleep problems persist, worsen, or significantly affect your daily functioning, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional to rule out underlying causes.

Supporting your body — through calming routines, reduced stimulation, nourishment, and gentle nervous‑system care — can make the entire ShiftProcess more stable and less exhausting.

Abdominal symptoms

Do you feel pressure, tightness, fluttering, nausea, heaviness, or strange sensations in your belly? Does your stomach react during emotional waves? Do you feel knots, pulling, or a sense of “something moving” inside? Does your digestion change — faster, slower, more sensitive, or unpredictable?

The abdomen is one of the most sensitive areas during a SoulShift. Your EmotionalBody and WillBody meet here, and when deeper layers begin to open, the belly often becomes the first place to respond. Old emotional material stored in the gut can loosen, rise, or reorganize. Your system may be:

  • releasing old fear

  • softening long‑held tension

  • integrating new emotional depth

  • adjusting to increased permeability

The belly is a gateway — and during transformation, it becomes more alive, more reactive, and more communicative.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, physical)

Abdominal symptoms can also arise when:

  • your nervous system is dysregulated, since the gut and brain are deeply connected

  • you’re processing emotional stress, which often shows up as nausea, tightness, or digestive changes

  • your breathing patterns shift, affecting the diaphragm and abdominal muscles

  • you’re recovering from burnout, which can disrupt digestion and gut sensitivity

  • you’re experiencing hormonal changes, which influence the digestive tract

  • you’re dealing with chronic or low‑grade infections, which can cause bloating, discomfort, or irregular digestion

  • your gut microbiome is imbalanced, which can affect mood, energy, and digestion

  • Abdominal discomfort can also be caused by ordinary physical conditions, such as inflammation, digestive disorders, food intolerances, or other medical issues.

If symptoms persist, worsen, or interfere with daily life, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional to rule out underlying causes.

Supporting your belly — through warmth, gentle movement, hydration, and nervous‑system care — can make the entire ShiftProcess more grounded and less overwhelming.

Energy Healing work may also help.

Changed appetite and weight

You can’t eat meat anymore? Heavy foods feel wrong? Sudden weight changes? This can relate to spiritual processes — fear of “ascension” can cause temporary weight gain as grounding.

If no physical cause exists, your body may be becoming lighter, your cells changing, your nutritional needs shifting.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, physical)

Changes in appetite or weight can also arise when:

  • your nervous system is overstimulated, which can suppress or increase hunger

  • you’re processing emotional material, which often affects digestion and appetite

  • your stress levels shift, influencing cortisol and eating patterns

  • you’re recovering from burnout, which can change how your body uses energy

  • you’re dealing with chronic or low‑grade infections, which can cause appetite loss, cravings, or weight fluctuations
  • you’re experiencing hormonal changes, including thyroid issues, which can strongly influence metabolism, appetite, and weight

  • other physical conditions, including digestive issues, metabolic changes, inflammation, or other medical factors.

If symptoms persist, worsen, or feel disproportionate, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional to rule out underlying causes.

Even during a SoulShift, your physical body still needs nourishment. Gentle support can include:

  • light movement to keep your system circulating

  • nutrient‑dense foods in small amounts if appetite is low

  • supplement support if a professional recommends it

  • simply making sure your body gets what it needs, even if you don’t feel like eating much

Seeing and hearing the invisible

As your 3rd eye opens, you may begin to perceive realities, beings, or dimensions that were previously hidden from your awareness. This can feel frightening or destabilizing at first. We understand this as auragetic fear — a natural reaction when your perception expands faster than your sense of safety. This fear softens as you move further along the path toward your SoulSelf.

You may notice:

  • subtle presences

  • energetic impressions

  • intuitive “knowings”

  • flashes of imagery

  • heightened auditory sensitivity

  • a sense of being “watched” or accompanied

These experiences often arise when your inner senses awaken and your system becomes more permeable to subtle information.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, perceptual)

Perceiving “invisible” things can also happen when:

  • your nervous system is overstimulated, making you more sensitive to subtle sounds, movements, or energies

  • you’re in a liminal state, such as falling asleep or waking up, when perception naturally becomes more fluid

  • you’re experiencing sensory sensitivity, which can make ordinary stimuli feel unusual or amplified
  • Seeing or hearing things that others don’t can also be influenced by: sleep deprivation, extreme stress, certain medications or drugs or by neurological or psychological conditions

If these experiences become distressing, persistent, or interfere with daily life, it’s important to speak with a healthcare professional to rule out underlying causes.

You can help your perception feel safer and more grounded by:

  • grounding practices

  • reducing overstimulation (noise, screens, chaotic environments)

  • resting more deeply, especially if sleep has been disrupted

  • spending time in nature, which stabilizes the subtle senses

  • naming what you feel, which reduces fear and confusion

Your perception is expanding — and with support, it can become a source of clarity rather than fear.

A session focused on your 3rd‑eye access and intuition may help you anchor these openings more deeply, allowing them to unfold in a grounded, embodied way.

Increased Sensitivity to Stimuli

Do loud noises suddenly feel unbearable? Do bright lights overwhelm you? Do crowds drain you instantly? Do you feel overstimulated by screens, conversations, or even subtle emotional atmospheres? Do you sense the mood of a room before anyone speaks?

As your SoulSelf becomes more present, your system becomes more permeable and more attuned. Your EmotionalBody, MentalBody, and WillBody open — and with that opening comes heightened sensitivity. You may notice:

  • stronger reactions to sound, light, or movement

  • deeper awareness of emotional undercurrents

  • difficulty tolerating chaotic environments

  • a need for more quiet, space, and softness

This sensitivity is not weakness — it is refinement. Your system is adjusting to a higher level of inner clarity, and anything harsh, loud, or energetically dense can feel jarring.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, physical)

Increased sensitivity to stimuli can also arise when:

  • your nervous system is overstimulated, making ordinary input feel overwhelming

  • you’re recovering from burnout, which reduces your tolerance for noise, light, and social complexity

  • you’re processing trauma, which can heighten vigilance and sensory alertness

  • you’re emotionally integrating something big, making your system temporarily more reactive

  • you’re exhausted, which lowers your sensory threshold

  • you’re experiencing hormonal shifts, which can influence sensory sensitivity

  • you’re dealing with chronic or low‑grade infections, which can make the body more reactive to stimuli

  • Heightened sensitivity can also be influenced by ordinary physical conditions, such as migraines, sensory‑processing issues, inflammation, or neurological factors.

If sensitivity becomes extreme, persistent, or disruptive, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional to rule out underlying causes.

You can help your body and nervous system by:

  • reducing overstimulation (screens, noise, chaotic environments)

  • creating sensory‑soft spaces at home

  • resting more deeply, especially if your system feels raw

  • gentle grounding practices, which stabilize perception

  • light movement, which helps discharge excess energy

  • making sure your body gets what it needs, especially if appetite is low or inconsistent

Your sensitivity is not a flaw — it is a sign that your inner world is becoming more alive, more precise, and more attuned.

Energy Healing work may also help.

Homesickness

You remember your SoulHome more deeply and feel homesick because Earth feels heavy and painful? This homesickness can help you “download” what you miss from your SoulHome into your heart — bringing you closer to your Earth-as-Heaven experience.

Energy Healing work may also help.

A session focused on your 3rd‑eye access and intuition may help you anchor these openings more deeply, allowing them to unfold in a grounded, embodied way.

Changed sensory perception

The world appears more vivid, colorful, sharp, multidimensional, magical? Everything glows? Love sparkles from everything? You are enchanted by a stranger’s smile?

This indicates you are perceiving reality less through mental filters and more directly through your heart, your Being, your Soul. As your inner perception opens, the outer world can feel newly alive — as if someone turned up the saturation, softened the edges, and revealed the subtle beauty that was always there.

You may notice:

  • colors appearing brighter or more meaningful

  • textures and shapes feeling more alive

  • emotional atmospheres becoming visible

  • people’s faces radiating warmth or depth

  • a sense of magic or sacredness in ordinary moments

This is a sign that your perception is shifting from mental interpretation to direct experience.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, perceptual)

Changes in sensory perception can also arise when:

  • your nervous system becomes more sensitive, making visual and auditory input feel sharper

  • you’re recovering from burnout, which can temporarily heighten sensory awareness
  • you’re experiencing altered states of consciousness, such as after meditation, breathwork or intense emotional release
  • Changes in sensory perception can also be influenced by fatigue or sleep disruption, stress or emotional overload, migraines or sensory‑processing sensitivity, certain medications or drugs, neurological or psychological factors

If these changes become distressing, persistent, or disruptive, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional to rule out underlying causes.

You can help your perception feel grounded and safe by:

  • grounding practices

  • spending time in nature

  • reducing overstimulation (screens, noise, bright lights)

  • resting more deeply

  • naming what you perceive to reduce fear or confusion

Your senses are waking up — and with support, this can become one of the most beautiful parts of the ShiftProcess.

A session focused on your 3rd‑eye access and intuition may help you anchor these openings more deeply, allowing them to unfold in a grounded, embodied way.

Boundlessness

You lose the sense of where you end and the world begins? You merge with nature? You feel like everything is one? No local “I”? You feel like a canvas on which the world paints?

As mental boxes dissolve and the fear of losing individuality heals, you begin to experience your NonSelf — the dimension of you that is not separate, not local, not confined to a personal identity. This allows merging with all‑that‑is. You no longer have experiences; experience has you. The boundary between “inner” and “outer” softens, and reality is perceived as a single, continuous field.

These states can feel:

  • expansive

  • intimate

  • dissolving

  • luminous

  • disorienting

  • deeply peaceful

They often arise when the fear of annihilation or the fear of “losing yourself” begins to heal, revealing the underlying unity that was always there.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, perceptual)

Boundary‑dissolving experiences can also arise when:

  • you’re experiencing altered states of consciousness, such as during breathwork, grief, awe, or intense presence
  • you had a near-death-experience
  • you’re deeply exhausted, which can thin the boundary between self and world
  • A dissolving sense of self can also be influenced by sleep deprivation, extreme stress, dissociation related to trauma, certain medications or drugs, and neurological or psychological conditions

If these experiences become frightening, persistent, or interfere with daily functioning, it’s important to speak with a healthcare professional to rule out underlying causes.

You can help your sense of self feel safe and grounded by:

These states can be profound and beautiful — and with support, they can integrate into your life in a stable, embodied way.

A session to help integrate nondual awakening may support you in grounding and embodying this shift even more deeply.

Thought‑emptiness, inner silence

Your mental carousel stops? No questions, no problems, just stillness and presence?

You now use your mind; it no longer uses you. You are in a deep version of DivineYin.

A session to help integrate nondual awakening may support you in grounding and embodying this shift even more deeply.

Waves of Ecstasy, Wild Love for Creation, Radical Surrender

You feel flooded with ecstasy, love for existence, love for others regardless of circumstance? You feel like an incarnated divine unity? You have no resistance to what‑is? You feel in synchronistic dance with Creator? You feel the magic and perfection of existence? You realize you are love?

These are qualities of the DivineSelf emerging as surrender‑fear heals. When the protective layers around the heart soften, the deeper truth of your Being can rise — a truth that is inherently loving, open, surrendered, and unified. In these states, life feels like a continuous blessing, and your entire system moves in harmony with existence.

You may experience:

  • spontaneous gratitude

  • overwhelming tenderness

  • a sense of being guided

  • effortless acceptance

  • deep intimacy with everything

  • a feeling of being “held” by life

These states are not fantasies — they are glimpses of what becomes possible when the inner contraction around the heart dissolves.

What else could be going on (psychosomatic, nervous system, emotional)

Intense waves of love or ecstasy can also arise when:

  • you’re recovering from emotional numbness, which can create temporary surges of feeling

  • you’re integrating trauma, which can release powerful emotional energy
  • you’re in a liminal state, such as after meditation, breathwork, or deep rest

  • Intense emotional highs can also be influenced by: sleep disruption, extreme stress relief, hormonal shifts, certain medications or drugs and psychological or neurological factors

If these states become destabilizing, persistent, or interfere with daily functioning, it’s important to speak with a healthcare professional to rule out underlying causes.

You can help your body and heart integrate these states by:

  • grounding practices to stay embodied

  • gentle movement to regulate energy

  • rest, especially after intense emotional peaks

  • nourishing food, even in small amounts

  • naming what you feel, which helps your system integrate it

  • reducing overstimulation, so the heart can settle

These waves are not a mistake — they are signs of a deeper opening. With grounding and care, they can become stable, embodied qualities rather than temporary peaks.

A get-to-Know-DivineBeing session may help integrating this shift even deeper.
